Basic attacks can be chained or linked together in often predetermined patterns to create combos and strings.

Chained Normals History

Chain Combos (Darkstalkers)
All characters are capable of chaining their basic attacks upward in strength, ie any light attack to any medium attack to any strong attack.


Chain Combos (Night Warriors)
All characters are capable of chaining their basic attacks upward in strength.


Appare Combination (Ninja Master's)
Characters possess unique predetermined attack strings. Certain combos have super enders that consume a full Super Gauge.


Chain Combos (Vampire Savior)
All characters are capable of chaining their basic attacks upward in the following order: LP-LK-MP-MK-SP-SK. Steps can be skipped but not otherwise changed.


Gatling Combo (Guilty Gear)
Guilty Gear's fast and loose take on chain combos, basically standing/crouching normals can be chained moving upwards in strength, and any normal can be cancelled into any special.


Chain Combo (Eternal Fighter Zero: Memorial)
Similar to Guilty Gear's gatling combo, normals can be loosely chained upwards in strength or into special moves.
