Cancels recovery of certain moves with a teleporting dash. Can move through opponent.

Air Control (Huitzil)
Huitzil has significant hovering ability. Air dash is always available.
Darkstalkers: Huitzil automatically pauses in mid-air. Holding left or right will cause him to drop in that direction once the pause ends.
Night Warriors: In addition to the left/right control in Darkstalkers, Huitzil can now end his jump at any time in any down direction.
Savior 2: Holding @term=up@ in the air allows you to stay in place for several seconds, even attacking several times. Automatic hovering is gone.
Hunter 2: Same as Night Warriors.

Blast Fist (Goku)
Goku performs an uppercut while rising to air. There is an explosion whenever a foe is hit.

K' does a spiraling leap, attacking with a flaming uppercut.

Demon Wind Bomb (Naruto Uzumaki)
Naruto hops into the air and tosses a giant shuriken (the "Fuuma", or "Demon Wind" Shuriken at the opponent. If it connects, the shuriken will transform into a copy of Naruto and punch the foe in the face, then disappear.

Dive Kick (King Ghidorah)
Ghidorah leaps into the air and comes back down at an angle in an effort to smash in the foe's head.
|

Dive Slam (Hun)
Hun reaches out in front of him and, if he grabs an enemy in this way, leaps into the air whilst holding him or her, and brings his weight down on top of them upon descent.

Dive Slam (Monster)
Monster reaches out in front of him and, if he grabs an enemy in this way, leaps into the air whilst holding him or her, and brings his weight down on top of them upon descent.

Fenrir Drive (Filia)
Samson transforms into a spinning ring of teeth, launching Filia upward in the process. Filia sits on top of Samson as he turns into a lupine shape and dives down with a bite.

Krillin jumps forward and rolls. He can move past his enemy and avoid attacks with this maneuver.
|

Flight (M.O.D.O.K.)
This ability allows M.O.D.O.K to fly at higher altitudes than he can normally, but cannot block.

Flight (MechaGodzilla)
Shifting its body horizontally, MechaGodzilla is given eight-way movement and a few different attack options.

Flight (Painwheel)
Spinning the blade as a helicopter rotor, Painwheel hovers above the ground.

Flip Kick (Nightwing)
Nightwing leaps high up to the top of the screen and comes back down with a heel drop.

God Smack (Ares)
Ares leaps up and comes back down to strike with dark god energy. Trajectory can be controlled with @term=backward@ and @term=forward@

Gotodan (Sajin Komamura (Incognito))
Sajin dashes at his opponent. If he connects, he grabs him or her and leaps into the air, then tosses them to the ground before returning to the ground, himself.

Heel Press (M. Bison)
Bison leaps to the top of the screen for a Double Knee Press, then drops down with a heel drop.
|
|
|
Hero's Stomp (Arvid)
Arvid takes a cannonball leap into the air, then comes back down with a dive stomp.

Hikou / Flight (Sentinel)
Sentinel is able to temporarily fly in eight directions. All of its air attacks are available in this mode. Flight is negated after a few seconds, if Sentinel is struck, if the command is repeated, or in later installments, his Hard Drive Super Move is performed.

Hovering (Wingnut)
Wingnut clamps on a pair of prosthetic metal wings, extending his airtime and allowing him to briefly move or attack whilst airborne for the duration of the move.
|

Ice Launch (Cole MacGrath)
Cole propels himself upward with a glacier. If done in the air, it's an ice stalactite that drops downward to strike foes while he goes upward.

|
|
|
Interrupter (Cell)
Cell moves to the side wide firing lasers from his finger. Light version fires 2 shots and moves a relatively short distance. The hard version fires 4 shots and moves farther.

|
|
|

|
Jumping Blood Spit (Nitara)
Nitara leaps into the air and hovers for a brief second, allowing her to spit a glob of blood downward toward her opponent.
|
|
|
Kaioken (kick) (Goku)
Goku powers up for a moment, then hops around the screen performing slow dive kicks. Strangely hard to avoid and has massive priority.
|

Mad Spectre (Wingnut)
Wingnut leaps high into the air, then clamps on a pair of of metal prosthetic wings and flaps them, creating a sonic boom of energy. He continues to turn and do this again. This repeats several times.

Ninja Gift (Deadpool)
Deadpool leaps into the air and throws projectiles at a downward angle. Light Attack produces shuriken, Medium Attack has him tossing grenades, and Hard Attack yields bolos.

Rolling Drop Kick (Warren)
Warren leaps to the top of the screen, then slowly descends whilst performing a spinning drop kick on the way down (said in the manual to be a "Jumping Sabut [sic]")

Round Dash (Frieza)
Frieza runs/fly in free move. While this move is activated, pressing the attack button will fire a succession of ki blasts.

Soaring Hawk (Hawkgirl)
Allows Hawkgirl to fly for a short period. She is able to perform all of her regular airborne moves in this mode.

Sonic Pound (The Flash)
Flash leaps up and comes back down to strike the ground with his fist, damaging the opponent if they're in the way. The trajectory of the move can be modified with @term=backward@ and @term=forward@ as the move is coming out.

Square Wave (Khameleon)
Khameleon leaps into the air and dashes forward slightly with a punch before returning to the ground.
|
|
|
Square Wave Punch (Kai)
Kai leaps into the air and dashes forward slightly with a punch before returning to the ground.

Supernova (Doomsday)
Doomsday leaps up and off the top of the screen, then comes back down with shoulder drop.

Surround Attack (Android 17)
Android 17 moves in an arc around the opponent, and attacks with either a kick or twos punches, with the light or heavy attack respectively.

|
|
Surround Attack (Android 18)
Android 18 moves in an arc around the opponent. Pressing the attack button will stop the movement and initiate a followup attack. Light version delivers a kick. Heavy version is two-punch combination.

Swan Dive (Hun)
Hun leaps into the air and drops back down with a body press, which sends tremors out, damaging any foes within range.
|

Toad Bullet (Jiraiya)
Jiraiya leaps into the air and summons a large toad, which fires a blast of water downward diagonally.
|
|
|
|
Traximus Tremor (Traximus)
Traximus leaps into the air and points his fist downward. Upon dropping back down and contacting the ground with his fist, he sends tremors out, damaging any enemies in radius of the attack.

Trick Move (Videl)
Identical to Android 17 and Android 18's Surround Attack, Videl moves in an arc and follows up with a strike.

Updo (Filia)
Samson launches Filia upward and drives back down.

Vivace (Carl Clover)
Carl does dash that can pass through his opponents. The button determines the distance dash, with B traveling farther.
|
|

Wall Cling (Strider Hiryu)
Strider jumps backwards and clings to the wall. From there he can climb up and down, slash, kick off at an angle, fly to the opposite wall, or just drop down.
